Welp, it looks like one of my older hard drives is getting to the end of it's life. I'm often dealing with data corruption issues and slow response times. Can software tools help with these problems while I'm getting a new hard drive?

Yeah, nothing is immortal, unfortunately, so you better get to replacing the hard drive as soon as possible. You can still try to download some tools to repair hard drive and give them a go, as they may help. Most of the time it's the hardware that's failing though, and there's nothing you can really do about it, so your best bet is to recover the data and get a new hard drive.
